Frequently Asked Questions

The questions El Paso homeowners and business owners ask most before hiring a general contractor. Don't see yours? Text us and ask.

Pricing & Contracts

How do you price a project — fixed price or time and materials?

Fixed price. After we walk the job we put the full scope and one contract price in writing, with allowances for cabinets, tile, stone, fixtures and the like so you can choose finishes without blowing the budget. You approve the number before the crew mobilizes.

Is the estimate free?

Yes. Walkthrough estimates are free — text us the details and photos and we will scope it, or set a time for us to come look in person. You only pay once you have a written contract you have approved.

What happens if something changes mid-project?

Any change gets a written change order with its own price before we do the work — nothing is added to your bill after the fact. On a well-scoped El Paso project, surprises are the exception, not the business model.

Licensing, Insurance & Permits

Are you licensed, insured and bonded?

Yes — a locally owned El Paso contractor carrying general liability and workers-comp coverage and a surety bond. We are glad to show the paperwork before you sign anything.

Who pulls the permits?

We do. We carry the City of El Paso permit in our own name and are responsible for the inspections — you are not left holding permit liability for work we performed.

Do you handle engineering when a job needs it?

Yes. Load-bearing changes, additions and second stories get stamped engineering, which we arrange and build to. We tell you up front whether your project needs it.

Scheduling & Process

How soon can you start?

For most El Paso projects we can walk the job within a few days and start once the contract is signed and permits are in hand. We give you a written schedule with milestones so the start and finish dates are a plan, not a guess.

Can we stay in the house during a remodel?

Usually yes. We stage the work by zone, protect the rest of the home with dust walls, and keep a working kitchen or bathroom available as long as possible. The phasing is written into the contract.

Do you clean up after the work?

Every day and at the end. We protect floors and furniture, control dust, and leave the site broom-clean — the final walkthrough is not complete until the space is ready to use.

Projects & Scope

What kinds of projects do you take on?

Whole-home and single-room remodels, additions, kitchens and bathrooms, framing and structural carpentry, concrete and foundations, roofing, stucco, flooring, garage conversions and ADUs, and commercial build-outs — residential and commercial.

Do you do small jobs or only large remodels?

Both. A single bathroom, a patio cover or a concrete slab is as welcome as a full addition — the same fixed-price, permitted, warrantied process applies at any size.

Do you do commercial work?

Yes — offices, retail, restaurants and medical suites, new build-outs and remodels, with ADA, fire and health-code details handled and the work staged around your hours.

Service Area & Warranty

What areas do you serve?

We build across the whole El Paso metro — East El Paso, West El Paso, Northeast El Paso, Central El Paso, Downtown El Paso, Lower Valley, Upper Valley, Mission Valley and more — within about a 30 miles radius. See our areas page for the full list.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. Every project is backed by a workmanship warranty, on top of any manufacturer warranties on the materials and systems we install.

Why hire a general contractor instead of separate trades?

One contract, one schedule and one party responsible for the whole result. We coordinate the trades in the right order and own the outcome — instead of you managing a plumber, an electrician and a framer who each blame the next one.
